If bundle FooBundle implements some UI component (extends not ModuleBase but Module class), how application can access it after "loadFoo()" call? How application can include loaded module into it's UI?

2. How application whould know that bundle is loaded and it's time to call "doFoo()" for instance?Andrey Luzinovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07459010373327725037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4442573390356643522.post-45376244142072169182008-10-27T05:57:00.000-04:002008-10-27T05:57:00.000-04:00ArcWebServices, which includes ArcWebExplorer (AWX...ArcWebServices, which includes ArcWebExplorer (AWX) are not publicly available anymore :-( One of these days, will have to migrate the OSGi-ish portion to the new Flex API for AGS (http://resources.esri.com/arcgisserver/apis/flex/) - Should not be to hard :-)thunderheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09200852299600047243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4442573390356643522.post-52546870316215842762008-10-27T02:14:00.000-04:002008-10-27T02:14:00.000-04:00where can i find AWX swc?where can i find AWX swc?gembinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05267534461332486722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4442573390356643522.post-55790152312701765842008-04-09T07:23:00.000-04:002008-04-09T07:23:00.000-04:00You are right Peter, it is "like" the OSGi spec an...You are right Peter, it is "like" the OSGi spec and interfaces. It would be interesting to implement the real OSGi spec in AS3 - the lack of threads would be a challenge - but could be a blessing ! BTW - this is a pure client side operation - we are taking advantage of Flex modules to "implement" loaded bundles. The fact that all that could be done in the flash player on the browser is pretty cool.thunderheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09200852299600047243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4442573390356643522.post-51795320463282279192008-04-08T12:16:00.000-04:002008-04-08T12:16:00.000-04:00Hi,You may be interested in Solstice which is a pl...Hi,

You may be interested in Solstice which is a platform for modular rich internet applications using OSGi for the server technology and Flex for the UI technology.

Cheers,
ChrisChris Brindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15060997991535798622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4442573390356643522.post-70313992893981432962007-12-13T05:06:00.000-05:002007-12-13T05:06:00.000-05:00I really like this coupling between Flex and OSGi ...I really like this coupling between Flex and OSGi technology. OSGi specifically lacks a UI to allow it to work as plumbing in the maximum number of devices.

However, unfortunately you are using something that is not OSGi. It is kind of confusing to call it OSGi when it is something like the OSGi Framework. The power of a specification is that it promotes interoperability, "like" is a four letter word in this context :-)

It is also dangerous for the OSGi Alliance because with current trademark laws we could loose the trademark if we do not limit this kind of use.

Could you explain why you could not use OSGi as it is?

Kind regards,

Peter KriensPeter Krienshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11373850803487010328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4442573390356643522.post-23574876000703835632007-12-05T19:48:00.000-05:002007-12-05T19:48:00.000-05:00Nice ExplanationNice Explanationderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16403691418142741322noreply@blogger.com
